Shelf space rules and instructions
Rules & Process for Artist Shelf Spaces
Our store in Trier works like a small permanent Artist Alley. To keep it fair and manageable for everyone, all products must be prepared, labelled and entered into the system on time.
The Concept
Artists can display and sell their own products in our store. We sell the items in-store, create the sales overview after the month ends and pay out the sales revenue.
We do not take any sales commission. You only pay the booked monthly participation and handling fee for your shelf space and the related processes.
This is not passive income. The better your products, prices, labelling and own promotion are, the better your chances of selling usually are.
Process
- You apply at least three weeks before your desired start date.
- We review your application.
- If it is a good fit, you receive the contract.
- You receive an invoice and pay the participation fee.
- You receive access to Kyte and enter your products.
- You label all items correctly.
- You bring or ship the products to us on time.
- We sell them in-store and pay you out after the month ends.
Once the contract is signed, the participation is binding and payment is required.

- Kallax Deep: 20€ per month
- Kallax: 30€ per month
- Billy Half: 35€ per month
- Billy Top: 30€ per month, only for large items such as plushies or pillows
- Billy Deep Half: 40€ per month
- Billy Deep Full: 40€ per month
- Display option: 6€ per month, if an additional display solution is needed

- Prints, stickers, keychains, buttons, plushies, stationery and similar artist products

- AI-generated content
- Reselling or AliExpress-style products
- Products that were not created by you
- Jewelry
- Illegal content
- Copied official artwork used in handmade products
Products must genuinely be created by you. Official artwork, screenshots, stolen designs or resale products are not fair to artists who draw and design everything themselves.
Important Rules
No sales commissionYou receive the sales revenue from your sold products. We only charge the agreed monthly participation and handling fee.
No jewelryJewelry is excluded because we sell our own self-designed jewelry line in-store.
Kyte is requiredYour products must be fully entered into Kyte before the start date. Without correctly entered and scannable items, we cannot sell the products.
Every item needs three detailsEvery single item needs a readable barcode, a clearly visible price and your artist name.
Missing prices or artist namesProducts without a price or artist name will not be sold. A flat penalty fee of 5€ will also be charged. This is not a service fee. We will not label the items for you because of this fee.
Pickup or return shippingIncorrectly or incompletely labelled products must be picked up, returned at your own cost and labelled correctly by you.
Barcode printing serviceIf you cannot print your own barcode labels, you can book the barcode printing service for 10€. Your product list and Kyte entries must still be prepared correctly by you.
GPSR, CE and labellingPlushies, toys, candles, cosmetics and similar products must have all required information, warnings, material details and labels.
Shelf damage and residueDisplays, stickers, tape or other attachments must not leave residue or damage. Cleaning or repair costs may be charged.
No sales guaranteeWe cannot guarantee that products will sell. Price, product type, presentation, demand and your own promotion matter a lot.
Product List & Barcodes
Please use a complete product list and enter all products into Kyte on time. The list must match the products you bring or ship to us.

- Each product type gets one barcode.
- All identical products with the same price use the same barcode.
- The barcode must be listed in your product list and attached to the product.
- Barcodes must be unique, readable and scannable.
- Please do not use generic codes such as 1, 2, 3.
Quantities & Restocking
- Stickers: approx. 5-10 pieces per design
- Keychains: approx. 5 pieces per design
- Prints: approx. 2-5 pieces per design
- Buttons: approx. 5 pieces, depending on size and display
- Restocking: maximum about one shoebox
- Extra storage: maximum one box approx. 20 x 15 x 10 cm, if agreed in advance
Restocking is possible. New products must be entered into Kyte and labelled correctly before they can be sold.
Pricing Guide
- Art stickers: usually around 2-3€
- Larger stickers or special shapes: around 4-6€
- Keychains: usually around 8-12€
- A5 prints: around 6-8€
- A4 prints: around 10-12€
Very high prices may be harder to sell in-store. Please price fairly, but realistically.
Shipping, Pickup & Return Shipping
You can bring your products to the store in person or ship them to us. They must still be fully prepared, labelled and entered into Kyte.
Return shipping costs are paid by the artist. If we organize the return shipping, we deduct the costs from your payout. If your payout is not high enough, we will issue an invoice.
Items will only be returned or handed over once open fees, return shipping costs or other due amounts have been paid.
International Applications
Applications from within the EU are preferred. Shipments from outside the EU must be sent DDP. Customs, import VAT and any other fees must be paid by you in advance.
Parcels that would require us to pay fees upon delivery will be refused and charged.
Payout & Sales Overview
Payouts are processed after the month ends, no later than the 15th of the following month.
You will receive an overview of the sold items. During the active month, we do not provide individual item counts or interim reports.
Return shipping, penalty fees, cleaning costs or damage costs may be deducted from the payout where legally permitted.
Display & Setup
You are welcome to send us a reference photo or setup idea. This is very helpful.
However, we reserve the right to arrange products in the way that works best for the store. We consider shelf size, customer accessibility, stability, visibility and the overall look of the store.
Final Note
This area only works if everyone prepares their products properly. Please read everything carefully, label your products correctly and contact us in time if anything is unclear.
We are artists ourselves and regularly attend conventions to sell our own work. These events help us finance the store and keep the shelf prices as affordable as possible for everyone.
Because of that, the store may occasionally be closed for conventions or events. These closures are already included in the monthly shelf price and do not lead to a partial refund.
